Reading this book is almost as good as a visit with Ashley Bryan must be. What a beautiful, gifted man.
The Coretta Scott King Book Award mentions "inspirational" and "personal duty," words that I think can easily apply to Mr. Bryan and the story of his life which he shares in this autobiography.

This book is beautiful and inspirational. I love the way Mr. Bryan shares his sheer joy of living in this book.
